Lone Rock is a beach on the Lake Powell Reservoir in Southern Utah near the Arizona state line. It’s a beautiful place where you can dry camp directly on the beach or within a VERY short walk of the beachfront. The water is CLEAR, cool to warm in late summer and it’s a popular destination with boaters, swimmers, jet skiers, campers, groups, off roading (ORVs) families and just about anyone who wants a beach front vacation on the cheap.
Campsites are not designated, you just pull up and park wherever you feel you fit and like. There is a dump station, dumpsters for trash disposal and potable water (may be seasonal).
Outdoor showers and bathrooms were also available.
*This site is not free. With an America the Beautiful Inter-agency Parks Pass your entry fee is covered and you only need to pay the overnight camping fee of $12.
